South African investment fund NEPI (New Europe Property Investments) has decided to inaugurate on May 14 the Mega Mall shopping center in the vicinity of the National Arena in Bucharest.The EUR 165 million shopping mall developed by NEPI in Bucharest was supposed to officially open on April 23.
According to a press release, with a total area of 230,000 square meters, the Mega Mall project started about one year ago and includes 3,000 square meters of shop windows with a 14 meter height, five ellipsoidal domes, with a total area of over 750 square meters, and two large skylights covering 1,500 square meters.
Mega Mall, one of the most expected shopping centers in Bucharest, aims to be the main point of reference of the Romanian retail landscape in terms of architecture and design, mix of shops and entertainment, accessibility and parking facilities.
NEPI is one of the largest real estate investors in the local market, with expertise in shopping center development and management, owning properties in Central and Eastern Europe.
