Women’s tennnis double Elena Bogdan of Romania and Nicole Melichar of the US advanced to the quarterfinals of the 250,000-US-dollar WTA Claro Colsanitas Open tournament in Bogota, Colombia, as they defeated Nastja Kolar (Slovenia)/Elise Mertens (Belgium), 7-6 (3), 6-4 on Tuesday.
According to Agerpres, the two have secured USD 1,820 and 60 WTA points. In the quarterfinals, they will meet the Russian-Ukrainian double Irina Hromaceva/Marina Zanevska, who defeated Kimiko Date-Krumm (Japan)/Julia Glushko (Israel), 6-2, 6-2.
