The value of the wellbeing benefits package received by Adobe Romania employees was extended to USD 600 / employee, a 50percent increase compared to the annual value previously included in this segment of benefits offered to all company employees. Also, to encourage work-life balance, Adobe Romania employees receive 5 extra paid days off, one every 3 weeks until the end of the year.
Adobe Romania’s team, consisting of more than 700 employees, can use the wellness budget to purchase products or services for a healthy life, from subscriptions and sports equipment, to books, courses, online self-development resources or activity kits and artistic resources for children and parents.
Supplementing the wellness budget, together with the extra paid days off, encourages using personal time for individual hobbies, or with family and friends, as well as the delimitation of time for work and personal life, respectively.
According to internal company surveys conducted in August at company level, employees continue to be dedicated to their jobs, with high engagement rates and high productivity. Most also say they feel supported by colleagues and management and appreciate the resources Adobe makes available to facilitate remote work, says Cris Radu, Adobe Romania Site Leader and Vice President of Engineering at Adobe.
Personal balance and wellness activities are stimulated by the company also by specialized recommendations regarding the conduct of remote meetings, such as holding breaks between meetings, limiting the number of online conf calls and their duration to a maximum of 50 minutes, allocating time for breaks every hour or emphasizing the importance of lunch.
Also, all Adobe employees benefit from a program through which they can use the services of a psychologist, and within the same program they can reach out financial advice free of charge from a specialized consultant.
Work from home, extended until July 31, 2021
As the uncertainty regarding the evolution of the health situation generated by CoVid-19 maintains, and in order to avoid exposing employees to the risk of illness, the Adobe Romania team continues to work remotely until July 31, 2021.
Adobe Romania employees, Adobe’s largest development and research center in Europe, have been working from home since March 12. To ensure optimal remote working conditions, the company offered employees the opportunity to take home any of their own office equipment – such as laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, as well as a $ 500 / employee budget for home office equipment. Moreover, throughout the period of validity of the work from home policy, the company ensures the reimbursement of monthly Internet subscription.
