Vodafone Romania posted a turnover of EUR 707.2 million, up by 2.7 percent year-on-year. The company also attracted 320,000 new subscriptions.
At the end of the year Vodafone Romania, the second largest local operator of mobile communications counted 9,441,063 users, up by 320,918 year-on-year. Out of the total, 8,744,061 are mobile services users.
„Our concern to provide the best user experience and innovative services has led to a significant increase of the customer base and service revenues,” Ravinder Takkar, Vodafone Romania President and CEO.
On 31 March 2017, Vodafone Romania recorded an 100.4 percent year-on-year increase in mobile data consumption. The penetration rate of smartphone terminals increased by 3.7 percent year-on-year in 2017.
On 31 March 2017, Vodafone Romania subscribers represented 41 percent of the mobile clients basem while 59 percent were pre-paid card users. The share of pre-paid services users in the total base increased 0.2 percent year-on-year.
