The Romanian Association for Culture, Education and Normality (ARCEN) hosts a new cultural tour through the Mantuleasa neighbourhood, one of the landmarks of the historic Bucharest.
The tour “Prin Bucurestii lui Mircea Eliade” (Through Mircea Eliade’s Bucharest) will take place each Saturday and Sunday, in the April 1 – 23 period, starting 17.00, in the perimeter that includes Mantuleasa, Plantelor and Calea Mosilor-Sfintilor streets.
The ARCEN tour will take the visitors through the former slums (Mahala in Romanian) of the city and the guide will describe the style of houses that still exist in this area, with a combination between the memories of Romanian writer Mircea Eliade about the Bucharest of his childhood and a series of urban mythology elements.
The participation to the tour is free of charge.
