Smartree expects 30 pct in turnover to EUR 17 mln this year over growing demand for HR services

Smartree, the HR consultancy firm, said that its turnover grew by over 35 percent to EUR 13 million due to increasing demand for its staff leasing and payroll outsourcing services.

In 2017, the company expects its business to grow further by 30 percent to around EUR 17 million due to higher demand in the recruitment field.

“On payroll of HR software services, in 2016 we have seen more clients asking for modules aimed at optimizing other HR processes, aside from salaries, such as timesheets, recruitment, returns. In addition, clients have focused on the assessment of the performance of employees and on the retention of employees by optimizing processes,” said Adrian Stanciu, the CEO of Smartree.

Stanciu added that last year, Smartree increased its portfolio of clients by 10 percent. In addition, the consultancy has offered HR services to over 46,000 employees each month. The staff leasing department generated 80 percent of the business, while the rest came from payroll outsourcing.

For this year, Smartree expects higher demand for temporary work contracts as both companies and employees are exploring more flexible work relations.
