CFR Infrastructure will overhaul the railway between Gara de Nord and Odaile station and will build another 2.3 km of new railway in Otopeni so that passengers will reach the airport in 18 minutes from 2018, said on Tuesday Sorin Buse, the minister of Transports.
„The projects includes the rehabilitation and electrification of the the existent line of other kilometers, a temporary station and a rolling footwalk up to the end of the airport,” said Buse.
The total investment is EUR 88 million and the works will be ready in April 2018, added Buse.
A ride by train to the airport will cost RON 3.99 after the route’s upgrade.
