French retailer Carrefour has reached a network of 111 supermarkets in Romania after opening a new unit in Timisoara city.
This is the second store of this kind that was opened by the retailer in Timisoara.
Carrefour offers a range of around 5,000 products in the supermarkets, out of which 1,000 are its own private labels products. The unit provides a wide array of items, ranging from fruits and vegetables, to dairy, bakery and fast-food products.
The new store covers 570 sqm and has four cash registers. Carrefour has created 40 new jobs in its new Market 1 Decembrie store.
In Romania, the retailer also has 29 hypermarkets, 43 proximity stores called Express, 10 proximity stores called Contact, an online store and 86 Billa stores.
