Roland Ruffing has been selected to be the new Chief Executive Officer of METRO Cash & Carry Romania starting from July 11.
“I am pleased and honored to have been appointed the CEO of METRO Cash & Carry Romania. METRO Romania will continue its sustainable growth and further consolidate its market position through more focused customer approaches and innovations”, said Ruffing. “We will certainly carry on the the good collaboration with our business stakeholders and continue to be a responsible corporate citizen for the local community.”
Ruffing has been working for METRO since 2004, when he joined MAKRO Cash & Carry Poland in July as Finance Director. He worked as Chief Executive Officer for MAKRO Czech Republic/ MCC Slovakia in 2009 and as Chief Executive Officer for METRO Hungary and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer METRO Cash & Carry in November 2013.
