The spokesman of the Bucharest Gendarmerie, Georgian Enache, said that a military prosecutor named Bogdan Pirlog was present during the August 10 protest as part of the mobile command center  in Victoriei Square between 5 pm and 4 am.

Enache’s statement contradicts those made by the Military Court prosecutor Ionel Corbu, who had stated earlier today that no military prosecutor supervised the Gendarmerie’s actions during the protest. Corbu told reporters that only on the afternoon of August 11 did the Gendarmerie request a military prosecutor to be part of the command center, but the court rejected the request as it “exceeded the professional competence and deontology” of military prosecutors.
