The number of real estate transactions across the country fell by 17 percent in July 2018, compared to the same period in 2017, to 44,430, according to data provided by the National Agency for Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising (ANCPI).

Most real estate sales were recorded in Bucharest – 6.815, Ilfov – 3.285 and Timiş – 2.712. The counties with the fewest real estate sales during the same period are Gorj – 284, Caras – Severin – 192 and Olt – 102.

”The number of houses, land and apartments that were the subject of sale-purchase contracts nationwide in the seventh month of this year is 9,068 lower than in July 2017,” the ANCPI communiqué said.

Also, the number of mortgages at national level in July 2018 was 26,781, 4,253 higher than in July 2017. Most of these operations were recorded last month in Bucharest – 5.199, Ilfov – 3.844 and Cluj – 1.981. On the opposite side there are the counties of Olt – 104, Harghita – 87 and Caraş Severin – 86.

The counties where most agricultural land was sold in the first seventh months of the year of 2018 are Arad – 691, Timis – 647 and Dolj – 524. On the other hand, the least were in Olt – 23, Gorj – 50 and Maramures – 55.
