The international health company Medicover reported a 13.9 percent increase in revenue in the first half of the year over the same period last year, up to EUR 323 million. In Romania, the group made EUR 42.2 million.

Medicover is present in Romania through Medicover Clinical Medical Network and the Synevo Laboratories and Harvesting Centers.

”In the second quarter of this year we continued to see a solid organic growth. We expect the organic growth rate of EBITDA for 2018 to range between 8-12% and we maintain our target of having a compound EBITDA growth rate of 18-20 percent over the medium term, respectively 2016-2019”, said Fredrik Rågmark, CEO of Medicover.

At group level, in the first half of the year, the Medical Services Division recorded revenue growth of 17.2 percent, to 161.5 million compared to the same period in 2017.

The Diagnostic Services Division also had revenue higher after the first six months of the year, up 10.9 percent, to a value of 167 million. The results of the Diagnostic Division were supported by the very good developments in the Romanian and Ukrainian markets.

On the Romanian market, the group’s revenues reached a total value of EUR 42.2 million in the first half of the year, up 17.2 percent compared to the same period last year. Romania is the third market as a share of group income after Poland and Germany.

The Medical Services Division of Romania (present through the Medicover hospital and clinics) recorded revenues of EUR 16 million after the first six months of the year, while the Division of Diagnostic Services (present through Synevo Laboratories and Harvesting Centers) total revenue of EUR 26.2 million.
