GTS Telecom, one of the most important infrastructure-based telecommunications services providers in Romania, allocates new investments worth EUR 310,000 for the expansion of the Cluj-Napoca data center.
The company announces a new series of investments in the development of the data center in Cluj Napoca, almost two years after its inauguration, by doubling its collocation footprint, thus reaching a total area of 210 square meters. The investment in this second GTS Telecom data center in Romania exceeds the amount of EUR 1 million.
“The current occupancy and our customers’ requests for services delivered to the Cluj Napoca data center have led us to focus on developing and expanding it. With its inauguration in 2016, two of the most important challenges for us were to equip it to the highest standards, and to provide high-quality telecommunication services with which our customers are already accustomed. That’s why we’ve decided to expand the fingerprint capability that will allow companies to create their Disaster Recovery Center in their facility,” said Razvan Stoica, General Manager of GTS Telecom.
The GTS Telecom data center in Cluj-Napoca, located in the Liberty Technology Park complex, now has a total floor area of 140 square meters, equipped with 60 racks, and the generating system provides a redundant N + 1 solution. This investment increases the operational availability of the collocation environment, provides versatile data connections of any capacity, offers extremely generous accessibility, and exceptional value for response time to customer requests and deployment time in the collocation space of existing equipment. The operation of two data centers located on different tectonic faults, located more than 300 kilometers away and hosting two independent cloud platforms, as well as the redundant communication solutions between them allow the design and implementation of complete Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
“We are already enjoying a high interest from leading IT companies and this encourages us to look with optimism for the future,” said Sorin Drăghici, Sales Director of GTS Telecom.
This year, GTS Telecom celebrates 25 years of activity on the local market, being one of the most important telecommunication services provider in Romania, dedicated to the medium and large business segment, offering integrated and flexible solutions of the highest quality, customized business needs of customers. The company has begun its first offering of dial-up, terrestrial and satellite Internet access services, being the first commercial service provider in the industry, and now has a wide range of telecommunication, collocation, cloud, storage that gives users a complete infrastructure of such services.
