Forte Partners, the developer of The Bridge office building in Bucharest, has signed a major lease contract with UPC Romania, part of Liberty Global, the world’s largest international cable company.

Forte Partners leased a total area of almost 6,000 sqm in The Bridge 2 building to UPC Romania. The new office will be the headquarters of the company, thus consolidating operations from two locations, the Nordului office and the one from Sema Parc, starting in 2019.

Geo Margescu, CEO and co-founder of Forte Partners, said: “UPC Romania is the third main tenant that we will accommodate in The Bridge, after we managed to close two of the largest leasing transactions on the market. It is a proof of our ability to serve our customers to the extent of their expectations, and also a confirmation of the fact that Romania offers the necessary context for multinational companies to extend and consolidate its activities.”

The transaction was carried out with the support of Colliers International Romania, the real estate consultancy company that manages The Bridge.

The Bridge received the highest LEED Platinum scorecard certification for a Romanian company awarded by the US Green Building Council. The Bridge 2, with a leasing office area of 21,000 sqm, is under construction and will be delivered in the last quarter of this year.
