According to estimations of Edenred, the company that issues tickets and extra-salary benefits, 3 in 5 companies will offer benefits on March 8, Easter, June 1 and Christmas.
Females, which represent 53 percent of the Romania’s labor force, can benefit from tickets and gift cards in value of RON 150 on March 8, the international Woman’s day. Both women employees and the companies are exempted from social contributions for these tickets and gift cards.
Easter is the occasion when the employers can offer employees and their children tickets and gift cards up to the value of RON 150, exempted from taxes.
” On special occasions, such as March 8 or other major holidays during the year- Easter, Christmas, anniversaries and professional holidays, companies choose tickets and gift cards, making sure that the employees receive what they want : a benefit that offers the freedom of choosing the gift from a wide network of commercial partners, combined with the emotional impact, as appreciation and recognition sign, ” says Dana Sintejudean, general director Edenred Romania.
For employees, the benefits based on the equilibrium between the personal and professional life, such as flexible work program or the possibility of remote work, have become more appreciated lately, especially in creative fields. In top of the preferences are still the benefits with a direct impact in the purchase power.
In Romania, Edenred serves over 35,000 companies-client and one million of users of tickets and meal cards, gift cards, gift ticket, holiday vouchers, social tickets and prepaid cards for business expenses.
