Moneycorp, the international expert in payments and foreign exchange,  announces the appointment of Cosmin Bucur as general director of Moneycorp Romania, once with the end of Johan Gabriels mandate, after one year and a half from the Moneycorp has become operational in Romania.

Nick Huslehurst, CFOO of Moneycorp group, said: “The opening of the subsidiary in Romania represented an important step in the group’s expansion strategy implementation. Moneycorp Romania team reached the objectives of the start-up phase, succeeding to promote the brand, the new business model and ensure the sustained growth of the clients portfolio ( the current portfolio is represented by over 450 companies and individuals). We are prepared to go to the next phase, of consolidation and development. Is thus a pleasure to announce the takeover of the Romanian market responsibilities by Cosmin Bucur.”

Bucur has an experience of over 20 years on the financial markets, previously having top management positions in ABN AMRO/RBS and the Commercial Bank  Carpatica. He is part of the Moneycorp Romania team since the company has been set up, holding the executive direction position until now.
