German producer of household appliances Miele Romania estimates a turnover growth year-on-year by 15 percent to RON 35 million in 2018, said the director of Miele Romania, Loredana Butnaru, according to

„This means doubling the business during 2015-2018. The most important investments are in the development at country level and the medium term plan includes the opening of two- treee exclusive or own stores, under Point concept. We are focusing on the cities where we are not present yet, but we don’t exclude wither the possibility to open a second store in a city where we are already active,” said Butnaru.

She adds that the vacuum cleaners were the best sold Miele products in 2017, with 6,500 units sold, followed by washing machines, dishwashers and cookers.

„An important growth was registered in accessories range, consumables and detergents and cleansers for clothes and dishes,” added Butnaru.

This year the company will continue to expand the business at national level, so that she plans to open at least a new showroom in the country.

„For us the challenge in 2017 was to expand the business in key places in Romania and the bet that we took with Miele Point in Dorobanti or the one in Constanta, ” concluded Butnaru.
